Karim Bux
Mr. Karim Bux is a C-Suite executive having more than 16 years of professional experience, with expertise in business finance, project finance, FP&A, & reporting & controlling. His professional passion has always been achieving financial proficiency, with interests in supporting businesses and starting up & carrying out projects. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, holds an MBA (with gold medal) from the Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL), Karachi, Pakistan and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, United Kingdom.
Currently, he is working as Chief Financial Officer in Jadeer Logistic Services LLC in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, an entity of Al-Muhaidib Group (one of the largest conglomerates in KSA), responsible for automizing and optimizing financial and business processes and solutions. Prior to that, for more than a decade, he handled project finance, commercial finance, billing, legal & investments at a listed Port Terminal in Karachi, named Pakistan International Bulk Terminal Limited, a World Bank Project of USD 300 million. He was pivotal in arranging financial close of the project, owned the financial model and project structure and assessed financial and operational feasibility. During the operational phase of the Company, he introduced automation strategies which increased revenue by 25% and improved efficiency by 50% and lead the implementation of the ERP Oracle through various cross functional teams. For his contributions to the Company's objectives, he received five promotions including that of Company Secretary. Prior to working in PIBT, Karim Bux worked in Ernst & Young (EY) in Karachi and Dubai offices, in the Audit & Assurance department.
A Fintech and AI enthusiast, Karim focused his MBA specialization in bi-majors, Fintech & Digital Marketing, which helped instigate financial innovation and digital transformation mindset, and ignited the passion of harnessing the power of AI to drive innovation and solve complex problems. His key projects during MBA included developing of a Fintech product and devising operational, commercial and financial feasibilities for the same, research on implications of Blockchain in health care industry and a comprehensive brand audit of a leading cement player in Pakistan with focus on digital marketing strategies.
Personally, he is passionate about nurturing society through volunteering with many organizations for provision of food, education, clean water and environment preservation. He takes unwinding breaks travelling to the wilderness and the metropolis.
